The Old Railroad Inn was built to accommodate railroad employees back in 1888, when the railroad came to Jackson. Then, the roundhouse and turntable were directly across from the inn.

Four lovely guest rooms, each named after a railroad line, offer a nostalgic atmosphere with the comforts of home. Enjoy a bit of history with rooms furnished with antiques, wicker, handmade quilts, robes, lace and embroidered linens on queen-size beds.

Gently awaken to the aroma of freshly-baked rolls, muffins, and coffee brewing. A full breakfast is served in the "dining car!"

The Inn is located just minutes from Interstate 90; 20 minutes north of the Iowa Great Lakes; 90 miles east of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and just 3 hours southwest of the Twin Cities.

DIRECTIONS TO THE INN: Exit Interstate 90 at U.S. 71; south to Ashley Street; east on Ashley to Cush Street. Cush runs into Moore Street - we're at 219 Moore Street.
