Work on the bridge continues with the placement of one half of the low slump overlay placed on Monday. The second half is to be placed this coming Thursday. The paving of the bike trail from Riverside Drive to the north end of the project is scheduled for later this week. It is also planned for later this week or early next week to mill the remaining surface of the roadway from Lewis Drug to the bridge and from the bridge to the newly paved area at the intersection of Riverside Dr. This includes the intersection of Riverside Dr. which will be done under traffic with flag persons to direct the traffic. Unfortunately, paving the road back will not be done immediately so there will be a time when you (the forgiving public) will be driving on a milled surface. It is anticipated the remaining work of the lights, sidewalk and trail will be completed during the curing time for the bridge overlay and the anticipated opening time of the bridge remains at November 18th. As a reminder, once the detour is removed, the stop signs at the railroad tracks on Co. Rd. 23 will be reinstalled. I would like to thank everyone for their patience this past summer and I look forward to wrapping up this project in the near future.
