Welcome to Jackson, MN
Development ~ Ask about our incubator project!

Jackson progressively seeks to assist
new and expanding business, whether looking to locate in the area or already located here.  The stability of Jackson is due to a productive and educated work force, a commitment to quality supporting institutions, and an overall belief that Jackson is a great place to work, live and play.

Among the organizations helping to make Jackson a better place is the Jackson Economic Development Corporation.  The JEDC was established in 1964 as a for-profit development corporation and is currently comprised of over 300 local shareholders and directed by a 12-member volunteer Board of Directors. Along with the Board members are three advisory members.

The JEDC has been instrumental in turning what was once just a cornfield into a bustling hub of activity in the Jackson Industrial Parkway.

The Economic Development office is located in Jackson City Hall, 80 W. Ashley Street.  Their phone number is (507) 847-4423.  You may also contact the office via e-mail: edc@cityofjacksonmn.com

Downtown incubator, warming it's first business!  That was front-page news on April 9, 2009 in the Jackson County Pilot.  Community leaders with the Jackson Business Development Committee celebrated the arrival of Lit Photography and Artworks to its new home at 315 Second Street in downtown Jackson. "The incubator project allows business to start up without the capital purchase of a building" stated Jeff Tewes, JBDC Board member.  Contact the Jackson Economic Development office or the Jackson Chamber of Commerce today and find out how we can help your business get started or expand!
