Jackson
progressively seeks to assist new and
expanding business, whether looking to
locate in the area or already
located here. The stability of
Jackson is due to a productive and educated
work force, a commitment to quality
supporting institutions, and an overall
belief that Jackson is a great place to
work, live and play.
Among the organizations helping to make
Jackson a better place is the Jackson
Economic Development Corporation. The JEDC was
established in 1964 as a for-profit
Development Corporation and is currently
comprised of over 300 local shareholders and
directed by a 12-member volunteer Board of
Directors. Along with the Board members are
three advisory members.
Meeting once a week, the JEDC has been
instrumental in turning what was once just a
cornfield into a bustling hub of activity in
the Jackson Industrial Park.
If you would like to stop by the Economic
Development office, it is located in Jackson City Hall at 80 West Ashley Street.
Their phone number is (507) 847-4423
and the fax number is (507) 847-5586. You
may also
